It was amidst a huge fanfare that Aspire FC was crowned the 2019 Amateur Division II champions. The league which ended today saw Aspire FC beat ALGON Boys in the finals to clinch the league title. This is after playing five straight matches unbeaten and also clinching the Anambra FA cup, a competition that ended a short while ago.
Aspire FC who the 2019 football season marks their maiden season, surprised all football lovers by their unstoppable drive while conquering every big name in Anambra football to clinch awards singular and group awards such as the golden boot, club of the season and the best goal of the tournament. The team played a total of 8 matches, winning four, drawing two and losing two while featuring outstanding goals from players such as Christian Chimezie, and Bassey A. and a free-kick goal scored by Hassan Abubakar.
The club which is barely six months old has been promoted to the national league I championship while the team shows no sign of slowing doing in their winning streaks.
